The Murcian peach leaves for China

The peach thus becomes the first Murcian fruit to set foot in the Asian country after the signing of the protocol, a journey that will be made by plane.

Peaches are the first fruits from the Region of Murcia that will reach the Chinese market, after the signing of the export protocol between Spain and China that took place last April, and which definitively opens the largest Asian market to our products.
The peaches have had to remain subjected to a cold treatment at one degree Celsius for 23 days, to ensure that the merchandise being sent is free of live larvae of the dreaded fly that attacks our fruit. After this period, the first container containing peaches that is exported to China from the Region yesterday passed the phytosanitary controls of the plant health inspection of the Delegation of the Government of Murcia.
The container transports a total of 2,200 kilos of nectarines and paraguayans produced in the Region of Murcia, and will travel this week by plane to Asia, where it is planned to send the following shipments for now, given the problems in doing so by train given the Russian veto on products from the EU that prevents them from entering Russian territory.

You control it, part of the agreement between both countries

The controls that the peaches have gone through are part of the agreement established between the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the People's Republic of China for the start of exports of these fruits. The agreement establishes a series of phytosanitary measures and controls to minimize the risk of pests and diseases entering the Asian country, among which the installation of traps and carrying out preventive treatments for their control stand out.

Murcian companies, ready to open the market in China

In this campaign, 13 companies have registered to export fruit to China with 326 plots in our community, and an area of 1,500 hectares and 12 manufacturing warehouses.

Last April, Spain became the first country in the world authorized to export peaches to Chinese markets, after two intense years of negotiations between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Government of China.

Agromarketing and China In Crowd, facilitate procedures and contacts for interested exportersyes

Murcian companies Agromarketing and China In Crowd have been exploring the Chinese market for several years, establishing contacts and learning the details of this enormous potential market for our fruits and vegetables.

Not in vain, this will be the second year in which both Murcian companies act as exclusive representatives for all of Spain at the IFresh China Fruit & Vegetable Expo (www.ifreshfair.com), whose eighth edition will be held next November, and which has aroused the interest of numerous companies willing to participate in one way or another in this great event, given the great business opportunities that are foreseen for our products from the field after the signing of the export protocol that allows Spanish stone fruit to be sold in Chinese markets.
