China: a giant market within the reach of Spanish companies
The economic data of the agricultural sector in China, which imports almost two billion dollars in fruits, vegetables and citrus from the rest of the world, gives an idea of the opportunities offered to Spanish producers and distributors to place their products there, opening new markets. to our exports.
This opening of new markets is even more important if possible for an economy like Murcia, if we take into account that it exports a fifth of all Spanish sales abroad of agricultural products (28% if the production of the agri-food industry is also taken into account. ).
Even more so, if we take into account cultural aspects of China that favor us, such as the eating habits of its inhabitants, which are increasingly directed towards the consumption of healthy products (organic, enriched, etc.), and where the consumption of fresh products in supermarkets it is more a question of health than necessity.
A country in continuous growth (around 9% annually), with more than 300 million potential middle class consumers, and a per capita income of 5,699 euros in 2014 (it has multiplied almost 5 in just 10 years), are reasons of weight to bet on this market, and the celebration of this meeting next November can be a boost in this sense for our companies.
