Farmers have begun to implement a very curious technique to prevent the flower of fruit trees from suffering the consequences of the low temperatures that usually occur some nights during the months of January and February mainly. It involves installing water sprinklers that start when there is a forecast of a sharp drop in temperature. The farmer is notified on his cell phone by an automatic temperature measurement system, once the water covers the tree with a very thin layer, curiously the “enemy” to be defeated, the cold, does its job: the ice that forms on the flower acts as a shell and prevents the temperature from dropping below 0º. Then you just have to wait for it to work.
